We are pleased to present you a jubilee collection of scientific publications “60 years of the Historical Museum – Balchik”, published by the museum team and funded by the Municipality of Balchik.
This collection touches upon the key moments in the establishment of the museum, looks at personalities, events and deeds of local and national importance, pays tribute to the museum professionals who built the foundations and established the authority of the institution. Each of the essays included in the publication unfolds interesting pages from the past and the near present, related to the archaeological, historical, art and ethnological research; to the creation and enrichment of the expositions; to the rich palette of activities aimed at making sense of and promoting the cultural and natural wealth of Balchik and its adjacent region. In the pages of the anniversary collection you will discover little-known facts extracted from the archives, you will get a glimpse of the circumstances surrounding the creation and maintenance of the expositions, invisible to museum visitors, as well as the constant striving of the museum team to enrich the knowledge of Balchik’s past.
