The painting “Cityscape” by artist Georgi Gorchev adorns the municipal calendar for the month of March. It depicts a street and a beautiful white building in the centre of Balchik. There is no human presence, only the bare trees without leaves bring the city to life. However, the atmosphere is hushed and cosy. Whether because of the warm palette in soft pastel colours or because of the playful lines, the viewer would like to enter the painting and take a walk.
To experience this peace, tranquillity and timelessness, intertwined with curiosity and the desire to merge with this city that has hidden the secrets of time. Georgi Gorchev is an author who will remain forever in the history of the White City.
