Reenactment of an oath-taking ritual in the Bulgarian Army

At 21 September Square in the town of Balchik a reenactment of the oath-taking ritual in the Bulgarian Army was held on the 4th of March. The organizers of this event are the History Museum – Balchik and the National Military University “Vasil Levski” in Veliko Tarnovo, with the support of the Municipality of Balchik. The event is part of the museum project “The Museum as an Educational Environment”, which includes a lesson on patriotism.

There is no greater good for society and the state than a well-educated youth. We are aware of the responsible task of forming national identity, empathy, patriotic attitudes and civic responsibility in the adolescent generation. The best way, which does not induce obligation, are practical examples, perceived much more quickly and casually.

Together with this event, under the auspices of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Executive Agency “Military Clubs and Military Recreation”, the exhibition of Dr. Ilia Valev from the Regional History Museum – Veliko Tarnovo “When the boy becomes a man… The barracks in those 45 years” was opened in the temporary exhibition hall of the Historical Museum – Balchik.
